The Benefits of Crafting
Do you find yourself getting to the end of the week and just wondering where the days went? Do you feel like you didn't get anything ticked off your never ending to-do list or felt like something was achieved?

At The Craft and Tea box, we like to encourage you to "take time for yourself.' Not only is this so important for mental health, but crafting is known to have lots of other benefits too. Some of the benefits are; lowering blood pressure and heart rate, reducing the risk of getting arthritis or tendonitis and it can even help boost your brain function when done regularly.
Several scientific studies show that being 'engrossed' in some form of crafting with our hands, is beneficial for our state of mind. Crafting allows us to enter a state of relaxation similar to meditation.
There’s survey evidence to support the effect that dopamine has from crafting. In one study of more than 3,500 knitters, 81% of respondents with depression reported feeling happy after knitting. More than half reported feeling “very happy.”
Seeing your finished craft around your home – or receiving praise from a friend or family – can offer ongoing doses of that feel-good chemical.
So, do you feel ready to take some time to yourself and get started on a beautiful new craft project? Something that is JUST FOR YOU! You deserve this time.
