Thinking up ways to support a small business has always been important for as long as we can remember, but the year 2020 has shown us just how important.
Not only this, the small businesses are the heart and soul of any town or city. They give that extra good customer service and you really feel that your business is appreciated and making a difference.
The Craft and Tea Box only uses small business owners for the contents of the boxes. We source out supplies of craft kits and tea because we know heart and soul is in these products. They are not just mass produced in a cold factory, you know when buying The Craft and Tea Box that you are supporting multiple peoples livelihood.
So here at The Craft and Tea Box, we have put together some surprisingly simple ways to help and support the small businesses all around you. Better still, from the comfort of your own home.
1) Choose to do one small thing for one of your local small businesses each week, whether it’s a purchase or a give them a shout-out on your social media. Supporting small businesses each week will not only give you a sense of pride and a warm fuzzy feeling, but believe me....you'll be making someone do a happy dance somewhere.
2) Write a review for a small business. We all know how much influence a review can have, a review about how friendly the staff were or how amazing a product was will make a difference. It also helps them show up online as a 5 star business to help them gain exposure.
3) Sign-up for their newsletters. Supporting your favourite small businesses by signing up for their newsletter helps them know you are interested and gives them confidence. It also can notify you of any special deals going on!
4) Offer discounts from your business (if applicable) to local small businesses. We all want to feel appreciated and special from time to time, so reach out and let the small businesses know you are supporting them. You never know what you might receive in return!
